I Found Journal Memes
Dec. 16th, 2018 11:06 pmA: Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
Jonsa, Sheith, and Grindeldore mostly right now but. They rotate around. I also like. Swanfire, Nokomitsu, Neopollo, Mammett, Billford, and like. Many, many more.
B: A pairing – platonic, romantic or sexual – that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
Someone changed my mind? I guess Grindelgraves, maybe.
C: A ship you have never liked and probably never will.
Oh boy. Zero salt but like, there are a few. Mostly ones that conflict with the ones I do like, but there are a few I just straight up do not like on their own. I'd say particularly Swan Queen or Dramione here.
D: What was the first thing you ever contributed to a fandom?
Absolute pass. I will not relive those days.
E: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?
Okay. Fine. Yes. But I do not think I could dredge it up now. Most of my stories are somewhat on the lighter side though.
F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it?
In a fandom in a fandom, I do not know. My first thing I really got fannish over was Sailor Moon though and that was. Many years ago.
G: What was your first fandom?
Sailor Moon, but also by the time I had an actual computer, it would be Dragonball Z.
H: Do you prefer live action TV shows or animated TV shows?
Animated, for the most part. It's easier to tell the characters apart in animated shows.
I: Has online caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Not particularly. I do know certain fandoms get a reputation but in my heart of hearts... I do not care.
J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over the internet.
Detroit: Become Human. Also Inception, that was wild.
K: What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
I mean the objectively correct answer is Zuko and a lot of characters start off with a great arc for however long and then it just completely falls apart. I would say Sansa but her arc isn't over so it is harder to judge.
L: Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves.
I mean they all have good qualities. My faves are usually the shitty ones, to be honest.
M: Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Newt Scamander
N: Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
1) More fanfic that isn't modern AU
2) More stylized art
3) More memes
O: Choose a song at random, what ship does it remind you of?
It was “Flash” by Queen. I think its already about somebody. But I don't know anything about Flash Gordon so that's unfortunate.
P: Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
An AU where all the characters are Pokemon trainers going to Hogwarts who get chosen for the Hunger Games and uh... Also its the future so they are all robots.
Q: A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.
Idk, I like a lot of things and I can't like them all at the same time because it is a lot of things idk if that's abandonment. I guess there's a certain one but. It isn't like that.
R: Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
An absolute lot of them.
S: Show us an example of your personal headcanon.
My headcanon for the Fantastic Beasts series is that it is an in-canon movie series created by Luna and Rolf, trying to capture and share Rolf's grandfather's stories with the world, and the bogged down over serious nature of the series is all due to executive meddling from the ministry who wanted to push an anti-dark wizard agenda after the second wizarding war, even though in truth the big world changing stuff was a small part of what Luna and Rolf wanted. They just wanted a cute series about fantastic beasts that's all.
T: Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
Oh. Yes. Definitely.
U: Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
Sansa from Game of Thrones because she goes through the shittiest shit and just comes out strong and kind (have courage and be kind!) and a lot smarter for the wear. But I mean. They could still fuck it up idk.
Wormtail from Harry Potter because he is literally a terrible person but his insistence on living when everyone wants him to not do that is inspirational. Its like even if you are a shit person, you can still be selfish. (And that's why I do see his actions as brave just not how we would usually see bravery...)
Dalek Caan from Doctor Who because this fucking character. My boy was done dirty though but that's due to the change of showrunner I guess, but still. Doctor tries to save Davros when Caan who literally was on his side was right there but like nah. Just leave that dude in space. Still bitter.
V: Which character do you relate to most?
Ahahaha. Wormtail.
W: A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
Villains with no redeeming qualities who are just evil for the sake of it and don't have any real reasons for doing what they do or especially who were just “born that way” (Yeah, Voldemort but like. Others too.)
X: A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
The redemption arc. Mmm complex villains. Villain/Heroine ships especially if it involves supernatural elements oh. Yes please.
Y: What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?
My Hero Academia, for the most part. I kind of just see it as an alternate universe Naruto but with Lee as the main character I mean ffs the guy's mentor is called All Might like. All Might, Might Guy? Same shit. And Bakugou is Gaara I do not make the rules.
Z: Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go!
I like. Good story craft. I do not like. Characters that are unlikeable. That is all.
